Rocky Randall’s Ride for Stroke Recovery Center
Rocky says: “It’s a dam good charity!”
Biker Babes hit the road looking for adventure and raising donations for stroke survivors along the way. Rockin’ Rocky Randall will ride with Leader of the Pack Jacqueline Britton-Newell to benefit Stroke Recovery Center.Hitting the road on their Harleys on September 9th they are due to arrive at Donahue Harley Davidson Dealership in St. Cloud Minnesota on September 1st.
Donahue’s Harley Davidson will greet them with an arrival event where Rockin’ Rocky plans to raise even more donations for Stroke Recovery Center.
Having retired from a prestigious acting career in 1989, Rocky came to the desert to enjoy some tennis and golf. With a background in volunteerism Rocky soon found herself singing and entertaining for the benefit of Stroke Recovery Center. Rocky also volunteers at the center a few days a week and Stroke Recovery Center is like a second family for her. So when she and long time friend, Jacqueline Britton-Newell decided to re-live their long distance bike trip of 2009 from Palm Springs to Minnesota, Rocky decided that she would use the trip as a fundraiser for Stroke Recovery Center. As Rocky says, “It’s a dam good charity and I love everyone there”
These Biker Babes will head out of Palm Springs and travel through, Vidal Junction, California onto Kingman and Flagstaff Arizona. Then it’s on to Albuquerque through Tucumcari, New Mexico and onto Wichita, Kansas. Next they hit Missouri and Iowa and arrive in Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota. After a welcome at the Donahue Harley Davidson Dealership in St. Cloud, the ladies will take some time to visit with families before hitting the road again.
For the return trip, the Biker Babes may add to their ranks and head out for Sturgis, South Dakota, then west toward the Colorado Mountains to Durango, Colorado. A route from Colorado back to Palm Springs will be determined as this last leg of their road trip unfolds.
This will surely be an adventurous ride and we will be posting updates of their journey on our Facebook page daily!
